Attachment Styles

understand its impact on your body, mind and relationships

The content

Attachment Styles:

  • healthy attachment
  • avoidant attachment style
  • ambivalent attachment style
  • disorganised attachment style

Healthy attachment is essential for a positive self-image and for forming connections.

This introductory seminar provides an overview of the fundamentals of attachment dynamics and how a lack of adequate support affects our bodies, our thoughts, our behaviour and our sense of self.

The sense of belonging we feel as adults, and the trust we have in ourselves and in others, reflects the level of security and co-regulation present during the early stages of development.

Was the child able to develop their own rhythm, or did the baby’s or young child’s inner world have to go into a state of freeze, hypervigilance or dissociation?

Presence, empathy, physical contact, space and respect enable us to examine the wounds caused by attachment dynamics.

Our confidence in ourselves and in others reflects the sense of security and co-regulation we receive in the early stages of life.

This seminar

offers an in-depth exploration that enables us not only to understand attachment dynamics, but also to begin to recognise how these manifest themselves in our own bodies, in our emotions and in the way we relate to others.

The seminar combines a clear theoretical foundation with a practical approach, providing opportunities for self-reflection and self-awareness. The different attachment styles—secure, avoidant, ambivalent and disorganised—will be explored through examples drawn from everyday life, enabling a deeper and more meaningful understanding.

Taking an integrative approach, the session will explore the importance of co-regulation and early bonding experiences in the development of a sense of inner security. All of this will take place within an environment characterised by presence, empathy and respect for each individual’s pace, offering insights that can be applied to both personal life and professional practice.
